Sandra Polaski

Sandra Polaski is a non-resident Senior Fellow with the Global Economic Governance Initiative at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. She was formerly Deputy Director-General for Policy of the International Labor Organization (ILO), where she provided leadership to the ILO staff responsible for research, statistics, policy analysis and policy advice for the ILO’s 185 Member States. Prior to joining the ILO, she served as US Deputy Undersecretary of Labor, where she led bilateral and regional labor policy dialogues with other governments. Previously, she directed the Trade, Equity and Development Program of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a global think tank. She is the author of numerous reports, book chapters, journal articles and policy briefs covering trade, labor, social and development policies.
