About
Phenomenal World aims to publish the best in political economy from around the globe.
We are a nonprofit project dedicated to rigorous research and writing on complex subjects. We publish new and established scholars, researchers, and writers working in history, economics, finance, policy, politics, and beyond.
Our editorial team is based across the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and the UK.
We publish in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Everything we publish is available for free online. If you like what we do, consider making a recurring donation.
Submissions
We welcome submissions and pitches on a wide range of subjects, which are reflected in the work you can read here on the site. We typically publish long-form essays, and have a long editorial process, but we are also interested in analysis that responds quickly to unfolding events. We very much welcome pitches from new writers. Email [email protected] with a proposal. We’d love to hear from you.
